Faculty drawn from thirty years of Tennessee massage practice.
Our faculty have spent their careers in the work — on tables, in clinics, in the field. They're not academics describing massage from the outside; they are practitioners teaching what they actually do.

Steve Cram
Co-Founder & Owner
Steve Cram is a co-founder and owner of the Nashville Institute of Massage & Bodywork. Steve also owns two Massage Envy franchise locations in greater Nashville — Brentwood North and Green Hills. Together with the Bellevue and Belle Meade locations owned by his business partner Joe Szablewski, these four affiliated studios employ dozens of Licensed Massage Therapists serving thousands of clients each year.
Steve helped found NIMB after seeing first-hand, year after year, the growing gap between the demand for qualified massage therapists in Middle Tennessee and the supply coming out of existing programs. NIMB is his answer to that gap: a school built by people who already employ massage therapists, designed to train the kind of practitioners they themselves would hire.
Joe Szablewski
Co-Founder & Owner
Joe Szablewski is a co-founder and owner of the Nashville Institute of Massage & Bodywork. Joe owns two Massage Envy franchise locations in greater Nashville — Bellevue and Belle Meade — alongside the Brentwood North and Green Hills locations owned by his partner Steve Cram.
Joe brings the operational and franchise-side perspective to NIMB's leadership team. Running busy ME locations day in and day out has given him a clear view of what working LMTs actually need on day one of their careers, and that perspective shapes how NIMB structures its curriculum, clinical hours, and post-graduation support.
